About the Artist

Portrait of Shelli Conner Shelli Conner is a painter and illustrator whose Southern roots run deep. Born in Houma, Louisiana, she grew up surrounded by the bayous, folklore, and ghostly legends of Cajun country - influences that echo through her art.

Working primarily in watercolor and gouache, she layers deep gemlike colors with shimmering gold outlines, creating intricate worlds where the eerie and the enchanting coexist.

When not in the studio, Shelli can be found exploring antique shops, traveling to historic places, or enjoying life with her pets, who often inspire the playful spirit behind her creations.
